Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are actually open and can close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home that has a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic profits isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
